October Research, LLC and NS3 sponsor Qualia are proud to announce this year’s Make a Child Smile community outreach event will bring comfort to children in the Kansas City area through our partnership with Jackson County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). Join your fellow industry peers to help fill kits with necessary items for children in our host community.
“Giving back to the communities that host NS3 is something Qualia looks forward to every year,” Qualia Chief Marketing Officer Matt Kaufman said. “This year, we’re honored to partner with Jackson County CASA, whose volunteers serve as dedicated advocates for children in the Kansas City family court system. We’re grateful for October Research helping bring our team together with fellow NS3 attendees to provide this support in the local community.”

Jackson County CASA recruits, trains and supports community volunteers to advocate for children in the Jackson County Family Court system – until every child has a safe, permanent home. These volunteers stand up and speak out to help children who have experienced abuse or neglect. Children in the system often have multiple caseworkers, school changes, and no consistent adult voice. A CASA volunteer is the one person dedicated solely to that child’s well-being.
“Jackson County CASA is grateful to receive the support from the National Settlement Services Summit (NS3) attendees and Qualia as part of their Make a Child Smile Community Outreach Event,” said Jackson County CASA Director of Development Carlos Corredor. “The opportunity for attendees from across the country to come together during your summit to provide children and youth in foster care in our community with kits makes an extraordinary impact in an ordinary way. Thank you for helping us ensure that every child we serve knows they are seen, supported, and worth fighting for.”
